It turned out that Einstein's brain is preserved in More Than 20 Years
Einstein's name would be familiar to the ears of anyone else. Likewise, the theory of relativity. However, studies of brain physicist is certainly still a novelty and not many people know about it.
But it was Albert Einstein's brain is often used as objects of research and speculation. The brain of the greatest physicists figure in the 20th century was taken 7 hours after his death in 1955.
The brain is attracted worldwide attention because the reputation of Albert Einstein as a genius, and seems abnormalities and characteristic in his brain has a strong correlation with the ability of intelligence that led to the creation of many brilliant ideas in the world of physics and mathematics.
Concerning this preservation of brain and decision whether to get permission from the concerned is a broad matter of debate. In his biography, written by Ronald Clark (1971) said: "He was so approved for brain used as objects of research and also asked that his body was cremated."
But Ronald Clark's statement seems not quite appropriate, even taking even this brain has not received permission from the family parties. Permission of his son Hans Albert Einstein was granted after the decision is new, and even this is approved if the brain is only used for research activities and the results published in scientific journals of high quality.
Prof. Marian Diamond of dissected brain Einstein discovered that Einstein's brain is very similar to the brains of ordinary people. Einstein's brain is only slightly better trained in certain parts only.
Prof. Marian Diamond is a brain anatomist, from the University of California at Berkeley, has spent the past six months just to examine Einstein's brain. He is "busying himself" sort out the parts of the brain this physicist and count the cells.
On the left side of his genius brain is found found more glial cells per neuron than in normal brain. This may be a reason why Einstein was so smart, even if Professor Diamond is not so can tell.
As an illustration, there are two types of cells in the human brain. Neuronal cells, which perform the task of thinking and adjust the nerve, whereas glial cells or neuroglia function provides the "food" and perform work tasks that support neuronal cells.
Prof. Diamond get the idea to conduct the study after seeing a picture of Einstein's brain had been preserved, which is published in a science magazine.
The brain is preserved is owned by a pathologist from Missouri, USA. Thomas Hervey, the pathologist this was one of the doctors who conducted autopsies on these physicists, when Einstein died 18 April 1955 at the age of 76 years. It was not easy to take care of this preserved brain. The pathologist did not even intend to sell it. To persuade this pathologist, Prof. Diamond took over three years. That, too, not entirely. The professor only get four small slices of the brain.
However, Einstein's brain that was discovered back in 1978 it received wide attention, especially in the scientific world. The brain is in a stone bottle filled with liquid apple juice (cider) for more than 20 years.
